This food referral guide for New York City is a useful resource for social service providers as they work with clients facing food insecurity.

Resources include hotlines, apps, maps, and directories to find free food locally at soup kitchens, food pantries, mobile markets, community fridges, etc.

There are also a range of special programs and resources for these populations:

  • Clients with Disabilities or Medical Conditions

  • Adults 60 or Older

  • School-Age Children

  • Youth Experiencing Homelessness

  • CUNY Students & Staff

  • Veterans

  • Clients in Food Services

  • Formerly Incarcerated Individuals

  • SNAP & WIC Recipients

Please note, this guide does not cover the SNAP and WIC programs. Our Benefits Plus Online manual offers detailed information on these programs. Learn about getting a subscription.
