It’s Tax Season!

As you file 2024 taxes here are some important details to keep in mind:

• Federal tax deadline: Tuesday, April 15, 2025

  • Request an extension: https://www.irs.gov/filing/get-an-extension-to-file-your-tax-return

  • File federal taxes for free at https://www.irs.gov/filing/free-file-do-your-federal-taxes-for-free

• NYS tax deadline: Tuesday, April 15, 2025.

  • Request an extension: https://www.tax.ny.gov/pit/file/ext.htm

  • File NYS taxes for free at https://www.tax.ny.gov/pit/efile/

• Use direct deposit for the quickest refunds.

• NYC residents who earned $65,000 or less and families with dependents who have earned $93,000 or less in 2024 can file in person at an NYC Free Tax Prep site, go to https://www.nyc.gov/site/dca/consumers/file-your-taxes.page for details.
