Note for Mixed Immigrant Households:
In households with immigrants, there may be some members who are eligible for SNAP and some who are not. In such mixed immigrant households special budgeting rules are employed. The Benefits Plus SNAP calculator does not include the budgeting formula for mixed immigrant households and therefore should not be used for such households. To learn more on how mixed immigrant households are budgeted refer to Food Program, SNAP, Budgeting Income, Budgeting for Mixed Immigrant Households.
Request a SNAP Budget Letter:
To request a SNAP budget letter call 718-722-8009, the NYC HRA Self-Service Line. The caller will need to have the recipient's case number and zip code. Or a visit the local SNAP center to request a budget, if receiving SNAP benefits only, or the Job Center, if receiving Cash Assistance and SNAP concurrently. The SNAP budget will allow you to compare how HRA calculated the SNAP budget with the budget that you calculated.
