Greenmarket Farmers Markets: Changes under COVID-19

T + T

Summary

NYC FARMERS MARKETS

During the COVID-19 outbreak, many NYC farmers markets remain open as an essential service and have implemented new physical distancing measures.

Hours of operation for specific markets are subject to change. Confirm if the market you plan to visit is open.

Note the following practices have been implemented:

  • Requiring all market shoppers, staff, and producers to wear a face-covering.
  • No sampling and no touching produce at markets until further notice.
  • All staff processing credit/debit/SNAP transactions and producers will wear protective gloves.

There will be hand sanitizers at market manager stations.

Customers can purchase a box between $14- $20 per box (normally worth $20-$30) for a week’s worth of produce. All sites accept SNAP/EBT and Health Bucks as payment.
